Roast Arena: official rules

Organizer. The Roast Arena is run by Magnify (magnifyshopping.com). Questions: support@magnifyshopping.com.

No purchase necessary. Entering, voting and winning don't require a purchase or a paid plan. Roasting is free on Magnify Free. A purchase does not improve your chances of winning.

Who can enter. Businesses that advertise with Google Ads, entered by the account owner or a person authorized to act for the business, aged 18 or over. Magnify staff are excluded. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

Seasons. Each season runs between the dates shown on the Arena page (UTC). The English and Spanish Arenas run separate seasons with their own boards and prizes.

How to enter. Get a roast of your Google Ads account, share it and tick “Enter the Arena”, then choose a display name. A logo and a website link are optional. One entry per Google Ads account per season. Every entry is reviewed by a person before it appears. We may refuse or remove entries that are offensive, misleading, infringe someone else's rights or identify a private person.

The Comeback Board. Comeback points are your best re-roast score minus your first roast score in the season, on the 0–100 grade scale. They count only when a fix with a read-back verified by Magnify finished between the two roasts, both roasts saw at least $500 (or the equivalent) of spend in their 30-day window, and both roasts happened during the season. Ties go to the larger reduction in the share of zero-conversion spend, then to the earlier comeback. Scores are computed automatically from your synced Google Ads data; no person or AI judges them.

Roast of the Month. Entries compete with the roast they shared. Signed-in visitors can vote once per entry. We may discount votes we reasonably believe are automated, bought or otherwise fraudulent. The entry with the most valid votes at the end of the season wins; ties go to the earlier entry.

The Agency League. Agencies join the League from their roast branding settings. A client's comeback counts for an agency only after that client ticks “Credit my agency” when entering. The agency with the most credited comeback points at the end of the season wins.

Prizes. Prizes for each season are listed on the Arena page. They are delivered as complimentary access to Magnify plans on the winner's workspace. Prizes are not transferable and have no cash alternative. Winners are responsible for any taxes that apply to them.

Winners. After a season ends, we verify the results, including the verified fixes behind each comeback, and contact winners at the email address on their Magnify account within 14 days. If a winner doesn't reply within 14 days of our message, the prize may pass to the next eligible entry. Winners may be announced with their display name.

Your information and leaving. The Arena shows only what you choose: your display name and, if you add them, your logo and website. Exact amounts stay hidden unless you turn them on. The Hall of Shame is always anonymous. You can withdraw your entry at any time from your roast page; it disappears at once. We handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes. We may change, suspend or end the Arena or these rules, for example if fraud or a technical problem affects a season. Changes are posted on this page with a new date.
