Google Shopping Image Preview
Upload your image to see how it looks next to price and ratings.
Shoppers scan Google Shopping results primarily by image. Price and title matter, but the image is what grabs attention in a carousel of competing products. Poor images get scrolled past—regardless of title quality or price. Common image problems: too much white space, product too small in frame, cut-off edges, low resolution appearing blurry on high-DPI screens. These issues aren't always obvious until you see the image in context.
Use high-resolution images (at least 800x800 pixels) with the product filling 75-90% of the frame. White backgrounds are standard and recommended—they make your product pop against Google's interface. Test how your image appears in the Shopping carousel context. Lifestyle images can work for some categories but product-focused images typically perform better for Shopping ads.
