How title testing lifted Shopping CTR
An athletic-apparel store used internal SKU-like titles such as 'Men's Tee Black L'. Magnify tested structured title variants, identified a winning attribute order, and rolled the pattern across the catalog. Most product titles looked like internal inventory labels rather than shopper-facing search assets. The brand had never tested title variants; product titles were created once and then left unchanged. Magnify generated structured title variants for a 120-SKU test group and compared different attribute orders through supplemental-feed variants. Variant B — brand + gender + technology + product type + color + size — outperformed the control by 250% on CTR. The experiment turned title optimization from a subjective copy exercise into a controlled system for discovering which product attributes actually earn clicks. All accounts are anonymized.
